Excel buffering while working between 2 workbooks

Our take

Hi everyone, Since the recent Office update, working with multiple Excel workbooks in split screen has become frustrating. My Excel often takes several seconds to load a workbook before I can interact with it, making multitasking cumbersome. Additionally, collaborating on shared workbooks has become nearly impossible, as any edit by another user forces the application to restart to reflect changes. While I’m willing to adapt, these issues significantly impact productivity. I would appreciate any insights or solutions to resolve these challenges. Thank you!

Hi everyone,

Since the second last Office update, working in split screen with multiple excels has become very tiresome.

When working between 2+ workbooks, my excel suddenly needs a few seconds to "load" the excel book before I can start interacting with it.

Since the same update, it is almost impossible to work in a shared excel because everytime an edit is made by a different user, it has to restart to reflect the changes.

While I can probably learn to live with these issues, I would prefer not to. It is quite frustrating.

I have tried looking for this issue only but haven't had any luck. I would really appreciate it if anyone has any insight on how to fix these problems.

Thanks!

Edit: my excel version is Microsoft Excel for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2603 Build 16.0.19822.20086) 64-bit
