Hi everyone, As a Chartered Accountant working in banking, I'm eager to upskill in financial modeling to transition into advanced finance roles like investment banking, equity research, or corporate finance. With numerous options available—CFI, Wall Street Prep, BIWS, and The Wall Street School—I find myself uncertain about the best path forward. I would greatly appreciate your insights on which financial modeling courses are truly practical and relevant to the industry. Additionally, I'd like to know if certification holds significant value or if skills alone suffice.
Hi everyone,
I’m a Chartered Accountant currently working in banking (credit side) and looking to upskill in financial modelling to move into better finance roles (like IB / equity research / corporate finance).
There are so many options out there (CFI, Wall Street Prep, BIWS, The Wall Street School, etc.), so I’m a bit confused.
I’d really appreciate your suggestions on:
• Which financial modelling course is actually worth it (practical + industry-relevant)? • Does certification matter or just skills? • Any specific course you personally found helpful? Also open to free/YouTube resources if they’re genuinely good.
