- Display file extension in file name at top of Excel windowHello. I hope you are enjoying good health. I'm using Excel version 16.107.4 on a MacBook Air running OS Sequoia 15.6.1. Is there a way to customize the title at the top of the Excel window to show file extension? The title bar at the top of the Excel window shows the name of my file but not the extension. I can click the down-arrow to the right of the name and get a little more info, but not the file extension (file type). The only way I have found to see the file extension (file type) of the current file is to go to File > Properties... This is too clumsy. Why I want this: I frequently have two versions, one a .csv and the other .xlsx, open at the same time; I'd like to see at a glance which of the two I'm looking at. Thank you. submitted by /u/NumberFritzer [link] [comments]
