Is there a way to total the entirety of a column based on the values in a different column?
Our take
If you're looking to calculate the total value for the cost of replacement items in Excel based on quantities listed in another column, you're in the right place. By using a simple formula, you can efficiently tally the total cost in column D, reflecting the quantities from column A. This approach not only streamlines your process but also ensures that your non-restorable list is accurate and comprehensive. Let’s explore how you can implement this solution to enhance your data management and support your insurance needs.
Ok, I'm fairly new to using Excel.. I am making a non-restorable list for my insurance after we had a total loss house fire in December. The format of the list is quantity, item name, approximate age, and cost to replace each item. Is there a way to get a total value for the cost to replace in column D, based on the quantities in column A?
