Power Query Rounding Issue

Our take

In Power Query, you might encounter unexpected rounding behavior that can be confusing, especially when dealing with decimal values. For instance, when a cell displays 0.49 and you divide it by 2, the result is 0.245. However, if Power Query rounds this to two decimal places, it may return 0.24 instead of the expected 0.25. This discrepancy can arise from how Power Query handles rounding and significant figures. Understanding these nuances can help clarify your data results and improve your spreadsheet accuracy.

okay maybe i'm missing something

I have a Cell that shows a value of 0.49

I have another cell that divides it by 2 resulting in 0.245

now when I ask Power query to round it to 2 digits its giving me 0.24 not 0.245

why is this?
