problem with pivot table date columns

Our take

If you’re encountering issues with pivot table date columns not aggregating as expected, you’re not alone. Changing full dates to the mm/yyyy format may seem sufficient, but pivot tables often retain the underlying day data, causing the months to appear as separate columns. To resolve this, consider grouping your dates in the pivot table settings. This grouping will consolidate the entries by month, allowing for a clearer analysis of your data. Explore these steps to simplify your pivot table experience.

i had full dates, then i made them only mm/yyy type, but when put in the pivot table they still count the same month as different columns because they still count the days in, even though i changed it to mmm/yyy
