Help with evisa

Namaskaram,

In a few months, I'll be volunteering at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore. My question concerns the Indian e-visa, which I need to complete since I'm coming from abroad. The application asks me to put a return date, but I think that if circumstances allow, I might stay longer at the ashram. Does anyone know if it's a problem to exceed the return date I indicate on the e-visa, or can anyone generally help me with managing deadlines?
