conference funding

Workshop papers deserve your time more than your travel budget

Workshop papers deserve your time more than your travel budget, yet the community often undervalues them. It's a strange reality: students submit three or four workshop papers while struggling to fund conference attendance. Workshops are for feedback, visibility, and discussion, not prestige. If you're chasing PhD-level credibility through volume alone, you're missing the point. Funding is scarce, even for main venues. Don't expect explicit support.
