Tame mixed date formats in Excel with a repeatable cleaning process

Taming mixed date formats in Excel often feels like a guessing game, but it doesn't have to be. You're right to question why your Power Query logic worked, it likely defaulted to "en-GB" for ambiguous dates like 03/05/2026, which may not be what you intended. A repeatable process starts by explicitly parsing each format in order, from most specific to least. For larger datasets, the same approach scales, just add more conditional checks.
