NCM

NCM at Beyond Market Intelligence is a file of one story. The newest of them: “Discover how AI builds meaning from concepts, not just tokens”. Most language models predict one token at a time, but a new paper on Next-Concept Modeling suggests a smarter path. Acme AI is the next-generation, AI-powered spreadsheet platform built to replace Excel and redefine how analysts, data scientists, and enterprise teams work… The list below is every NCM story on Beyond Market Intelligence, newest first.

Discover how AI builds meaning from concepts, not just tokens

Most language models predict one token at a time, but a new paper on Next-Concept Modeling suggests a smarter path. NCM builds a hierarchy of discrete codes, generating the coarse structure first, then filling in finer details in parallel. The result: up to 31x faster generation on some benchmarks. It's a fascinating rethinking of how AI builds meaning from concepts, not just tokens. For more on how AI systems handle complex reasoning, see our piece on when spatial reasoning still falls short.
