Schools face a tradeoff: block AI, lose Google Search

Schools that block AI entirely now lose Google Search too, since AI features are built into the engine. That's a real tradeoff, and it deserves honest weighing rather than a reflexive ban. Restricting a tool this embedded carries consequences beyond the classroom. For a sense of how quickly AI is settling into everyday products, look at Apple Watch beta testing Audio Intelligence to recap conversations. The better path is teaching students to use these tools well, not pretending they can be walled off.
