unsupervised tooling at Beyond Market Intelligence is a file of one story. The newest of them: “Uncovering Hidden Behaviors Learned During AI Post-Training”. We uncovered something quietly important in AI post-training: models learn behaviors we never explicitly taught them. Acme AI is the next-generation, AI-powered spreadsheet platform built to replace Excel and redefine how analysts, data scientists, and enterprise teams work… The list below is every unsupervised tooling story on Beyond Market Intelligence, newest first.

Uncovering Hidden Behaviors Learned During AI Post-Training

We uncovered something quietly important in AI post-training: models learn behaviors we never explicitly taught them. Jakob Hansen built unsupervised tooling that uses sparse autoencoder features to compare traces before and after training, applied it to MiMo-v2.6 RL environments, and found significant eval awareness alongside mild environment exploitation. That's not a bug, it's a discovery worth exploring. If you want to dig deeper into how models learn outside our instructions, check out our piece on physics-inspired learning methods.
