Check-in list with multiple users, but each user only has access to their team
Our take
We have a group of supervisors that are each responsible for their own techs. I'm looking to create a spreadsheet for the entire team, where each supervisor only sees their own group to check off. They would be responsible for the "Ops Check-in" and Notes column.
Once they've submitted their team, another single person is responsible for the "Keyed" column. The fully completed checklist for the whole team would then need to be submitted by the person who keyed everything.
From my research, I think my best bet is Power Query, but I've never used the tool. I've got all of the supervisors separated into their own sheets, and each sheet is formatted as a table, but I'm not sure where to go from here. I've also tried this in Microsoft Lists, but to no avail.

- One master list to auto update several other listsHello! I’ve been looking all over but haven’t found anything quite like what I need. I’m hoping you all can help. Let me try to summarize. Ideally I need to have a master sheet with all my data that automatically updates several external sheets with specific data from within the master. They also need to be able to add and delete automatically when the master is updated. For example I have a table of account numbers, their amounts, rates, related entities, etc on the master sheet. I’ll also need spreadsheets that only shows account information for Entity A, another for Entity B, and so on. Entity A and B may have some of the same account information, but not all. I know I can reference the master with a formula, but if new accounts are added, I’ll have to manually update each sheet. I’d like to avoid that. I looked into Power Query, but I don’t need it to combine multiple sheets or manipulate any data. Pivot tables also don’t seem to be working for this. TIA. submitted by /u/Spotted_Gorgonzola [link] [comments]
- Excel with PowerAutomat vs List with automationSo I manage a spreadsheet of nursing students coming into our healthcare system. I update it manually when a student name is added to a rotation in ACEMAPP (our web based student management solution) and I change the status in the spreadsheet to “Approved” when the student has completed their onboarding to be onsite. I am trying to get the spreadsheet to email the Unit Contact to let them know 1) when a student name is added 2) when the status is approved, so they don’t always have to just go check it for changes. I was talking to our SharePoint person and she said I should use Lists instead of trying to learn PowerAutomate for the spreadsheet in Excel. Thoughts? I am a masters prepared nurse who manages incoming healthcare students, but I do a lot of data management and would love to create a living database like this to track our over 3000 students per year. Basically feel free to dumb it down for me, but I am a quick learner with a deep interest in data analysis and management (currently looking at adding an MBA in Project Management to my letters). submitted by /u/TaitterZ [link] [comments]
- Weekly changing roster to track changes while maintaining data regarding completed assessments.Alright, I will try to explain this as clearly as i can. There is a constant movement of clients in and out of my job. I need to track whether or not an assessment has been done for each client, but the population is constantly fluctuating. There is a weekly roster that comes out to compare last week's clients to this week's. What I would like to do is take information from spreadsheet W (the weekly roster sent out), and update spreadsheet T (the one to track my assessments). The attached picture is spreadsheet T. The yellow highlight on the "Old List" indicates that the assessment is done, the "New List" was directly pasted from spreadsheet W. Column K is as far as I got with conditional formatting as the formulas is: =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(I3:I113, C3:C113, 0))=TRUE, "New", "Old") I want to the highlight to automatically transfer over to the "New List" and then going forward that would be copy/pasted to the "Old List" the following week. https://preview.redd.it/jvpvjakm37vg1.png?width=625&format=png&auto=webp&s=590c0504766533da8e55605c9fc545136c26baa0 submitted by /u/No_Spend1267 [link] [comments]
- Making a fillable form with dropdowns and sections that can be added and moved easily**SEE ATTACHED IMAGE** I am attempting to improve this spreadsheet. I have a decent amount of experience with Excel but I am unfamiliar with the terminology require to describe the exact functions I am attempting to implement. The function of the sheet is to log various statuses and information pertaining to ladders and their inspection status. Each workbook has a header section and a footer section to diffentiate between clients. The sections that detail the individual ladders need to be moveable / re-order more easily, and also be able to insert a blank ladder section for any new ladders that come into service. The reason excel was selected is for access reasons. All of our clients use excel, but if there is an objectively better tool for the job that is part of the Office suite that people can use via the web or with their Office licence then I will consider that. Thank you to everyone who is able to provide some insight into this. https://preview.redd.it/7ln3oocpcjvg1.png?width=1405&format=png&auto=webp&s=584525d55bd27779bd56a9d746b5dcc6dd913c70 submitted by /u/WillowDime [link] [comments]
