Hi everyone! I would like to ask for your help regarding the formatting of data in excel.
So currently, I have list of dates however these dates are formatted as follows: MM/DD/YYYY ( example: 04/02/2024) I wanted to change the format to date to Month-Day-Year (02-Apr-2025) format but I dont know how to, Ive been trying to research about it. I have list of transactions and I really need to do it in bulk mode.
Any suggest for a possible formula on this one?

- Unify excel date format for all usersAt work we have a file, that used to be set up in a way, where no matter what date format you use (dd.mm.yy ; mm.dd.yy ; d.m.yy ; m.d.yy ; dd/mm/yyyy ; dd/mm/yy ; ...) it would always visually adjust to the current users system settings and always read the input as date. So if one coworker used and typed dd/mm/yyyy, he would see all dates in the table like that. While I use dd.mm.yy and I would see all date like that. I hope the explanation makes sense... this stopped working last year, and I tried what internet suggested: Changing the user settings in OS to a format they use. Changing it to a adjustable format so everyone has their own format and now it is all set to a firm format (dd.mm.yy) so it displays the same for everyone and it doesn’t matter if they type it with slashes (dd/mm/yy ; dd/mm/yyyy) but if someone types specifically in dd.mm.yyyy format it doesnt recognize it as a date anymore... - Conditional formatting date help neededI've been trying to use conditional formatting to help automate my work spreadsheet and the date formulas truly escape me. I feel like TODAY is a meany who likes to stick their tongue out at you and point for being stupid XD. This is a spreadsheet with a schedule on it. They end at D11, if it matters. I'm not sure why excel is treating the dates in May as if they are less than today, when they're not. - Converting dates into formatted datesHello, I am working with a dataset that has non delimited dates that I want to convert into real dates. I originally attempted to use =DATE(RIGHT(A1,4), MID(A1,3,2), LEFT(A1,2)) This worked for many of them. The issues is that they are not all stored as 8 digits. I also tried the text to columns with fixed width and also did not work. Some are 6 7 or 8. mdyyyy mddyyyy mmdyyyy mmddyyyy I would like to convert these into mm/dd/yyyy if possible. Any help would be great. Thank you so much!! Edit: Thank you everyone for your help looking into this. The 7s seem to be the great issue. But I am going to try a combo of u/mrslobster and u/hg00000.
