I cant select certain cells

I have a Form sheet with various macros etc sitting behind it. It was set up so that the user could only select certain cells to enter data. At some point while designing this, something happened where I can no longer select certain cells. Hard to describe but even when my sheet is Unprotected, if I click on one of these cells that is playing up, it wont be selected and jumps to another cell. I cannot for the life of me figure out what has happened. See the attached video where I select other cells without issue but on certain cells it jumps straight to the large Additional Comments box. - New cells added to a protected sheet will not lockI created a worksheet that required me to lock certain cells. The worksheet needed editing so I removed the protection so I could add additional columns. One of the two columns needs to be protected, while the other needs to be unlocked for data input. I made the unlocked range in the mange protection window and resumed protection on the worksheet but all new columns remained unlocked. All original cells on the worksheet (before the new colums) still lock and those that were put in an unlocked range remain unlocked. I am predominately working in the browser mode. I have used the desktop app to make sure all cells are locked in the fromat cells > protection settings. - Change contents of cells based on a drop downSo, I'm trying to generate a spreadsheet to make the forms we use in the office to issue keys. When people are given an apartment, we have a sheet with all the key numbers on it, and then they sign for it. At the moment, we've got 22 different PDFs and Word documents, and it doesn't work. So, what I want to do is this. I've built the template in Excel and created a Reference sheet which will have all the numbers in it. What I am trying to do is set it up so that when you use the Apartment number from a dropdown, it populates with all the key numbers. - Drop down list from discontinuous cells not workingI have to make a bunch of drop downs referencing a seperate sheet that I cant really edit. some of the lists need to reference cells that arent all contiguous. For instance data validation list on =Sheet1!$A$1,Sheet1$C$1, Sheet!$D$1 yields a "You may not use reference operators for data validation critera" But leaving B1 in there works. i.e. =Sheet1!$A$1:Sheet!$D$1 works. - How to move selection without moving selected data?I'm working with a very large data set (>50,000 values), and need an efficient way to index and create charts from a selected range. What works is CTRL+F for the name of a well (B2 shown here) which then allows me to select all cells named B2. What I want to be able to do now is to move the selection frame over to just select those 724 cells but ONLY in columns D&E. Excel lets me select B through E via Shift+Arrows. How can I only move the selection pane without moving/pasting data over?
