Is it possible to show additional columns in Excel built-in find result?
Our take
If you're looking to enhance your personal movie list in Excel, you might be wondering about the limitations of the built-in Find function. Currently, it presents a basic view with standard columns like book, sheet, name, and cell. However, you can explore ways to customize your search results to include additional columns, such as genre or resolution. This flexibility can significantly improve your data management experience, allowing for a more tailored and insightful view of your movie collection. Let’s dive into some potential solutions.
Greetings:
I would like to build a personal movie list. The built- in Excel find function only gave a default basic column look such as book, sheet, name, cell etc. Is it possible to show genre, resolution columns etc in the result? Advance thanks for any suggestions and help.
Edited 04/05/2026: replaced the word "database" with "list".
