Make it so that my boss can't put me and my coworker on night shift together.

Our take

Are you dreading the thought of sharing a night shift with a challenging coworker? You’re not alone. Many face the struggle of navigating schedules that can feel like a game of chance. Fortunately, there’s a way to use Excel's capabilities to your advantage. By creating a simple link between your schedules, you can ensure that if one of you is assigned to a night shift, the other is automatically cleared.

I've got a coworker who i dread working night shift with. The boss uses excel to make the work schedule. Is there any way to make it so he can't put us on night shift together? Like linking the two rows so only one of them can have information in them per column. Not something that would throw out a huge error, maybe just something that would clear my cell if he fills in the coworker's cell for the night shift on the same day. Something that makes him pause and try to find someone else to put on the night shift.
