My Father is Planning a Golf Game

Our take

My father is on a quest to create an engaging golf game in Excel, yet he faces challenges in executing his plan. He has organized two columns, A and B, with four rows of numbers, some of which are duplicates. His goal is to find the lowest sum of three numbers, ensuring they come from different rows and include one number from column A.

My father is attempting to implement a golf game using Excel, but is struggling to make his plan work in Excel so it can be deployed. He has two columns, A and B. Four rows 1-4. Each cell has a number and some numbers can be duplicates. He wants the lowest sum of three numbers. They must come from different rows and one number must be in column A.

He is attempting to make this work using functions such as CHOOSE, INDEX, MAKEARRAY, etc. The only way he can get this to work is a lengthy nested if statement. He is under the assumption that there is a better way to get this done.
