Same filters more columns
Our take
In Excel, applying the same filter across multiple columns can streamline your data analysis, especially when narrowing down specific codes. For instance, if you want to filter six columns to display all entries that begin with "45*", this task becomes challenging without resorting to complex formulas. Fortunately, Excel offers a way to simplify this process. By utilizing advanced filtering techniques, you can achieve this goal without creating a multitude of “OR” formulas, making your data management more efficient and less cumbersome.
I would like to understand whether, in Excel, it is possible to apply a filter across multiple columns.
For example, I need to select, across six columns, all codes that start with 45* in order to filter the records by row. I would like to avoid creating endless formulas in another column using the “OR” function, because there are many codes.
Does this possibility exist? Something like applying the same filter simultaneously to 6 columns.
