So I'm trying to freeze only the top 3 rows oh my excel sheet, however I have no "freeze panes" I have to go to the search bar to find it, and when I click it, it freezes the first 5 rows even if I have 3 rows highlighted

- Freeze panes not freezing just selectionHi everyone, I'm trying to freeze the first four columns in a sheet (status, last name, first name, client number) and no matter what I do, either the fourth column doesn't freeze or it freezes the next two (so 6 total columns) too. I have highlighted just the four I wanted and clicked "freeze panes" and it just keeps going back and forth between freezing only the first three or freezing the first 6. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or what might be going on? Thank you! EDIT: I fixed this myself. I selected the column to the right of the last one I wanted to freeze and clicked freeze panes rather than following the suggestions I saw on microsoft's website about selecting the columns that I wanted to freeze and clicking freeze panes. Editing the flair but leaving this up in case someone else has this problem! submitted by /u/tashykat [link] [comments]
- Can I freeze a row at the bottom of my sheet?I want a row at the bottom of my sheet to be frozen so I can display total cost savings at the bottom and have it always be visible. As far as I can tell, the freeze panes option only freezes cells above and to the left of the current selection, allowing you to scroll down or to the right with that row/column staying in place. Is there some way to freeze cells at the bottom of the sheet that stay visible when scrolling up? submitted by /u/shabobaman [link] [comments]
- Freeze Top Row IssueI have an ongoing document that has 400 rows. Each day as I add entries I have been able to sort it numerically smallest to largest, but today it started including the headers in the sort. I have tried to unfreeze and refreeze, restart program and restart PC but can not figure it out for the life of me. Am I missing something, or is this a glitch? Any help is sincerely appreciated! submitted by /u/ltimatewarrior [link] [comments]
