Want to copy data from master sheet to seperate sheet
Our take
Hi,
I am an excel newbie and I would have added a screenshot but it is all in Dutch.
I am in charge of the guestlist for a big company multiple day event in October.
Right now I have everyone in one sheet with their names and contact information and also a column (M) which is the day they will be invited for the event. it's either on the 30th of september, 1st of October or the 2nd of October.
I do not know if it is possible but I would like to have the whole row copies to a different sheet when I fill in the date they would be invited on.
So if person A gets an invite for 30/09, I would like the full row of their information to be copies to my different sheet that is specifically for all the guests of 30/09.
This way I have my own sheet with everyone that is invited from 30/09 until 02/10, and then different sheets per day.
Is this possible to do this with a formula or something more automatic instead of copy pasting the lines myself?
Thank you

- Hosting multi day event and need to be able to filter who will be on site for each dayI've got a 15 day event coming up, and I need a list of who will be on site each day. I've got one sheet with all the data (name, company, phone, first day onsite, last day onsite, etc). I'd like to be able to make a sheet for each day of the event that presents the people who will be on site that day. So on a new sheet for May 1, it'll populate everyone from the "data" sheet who will be at the event May 1, and have this continue for one sheet for each day of the event. Is this possible/feasible? Will the formula populate all of the information for that person (or can I select specific info) or just the name? Thank you! submitted by /u/CHUCKCHUCKCHUCKLES [link] [comments]
- How to confront multiple sheets against each other?English is not my first language, if anything doesn't make sense pls ask. I am currently trying to filter a bigger excel for a conference programm, their file was divided as such sheets: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 -> this containes, for each day in the title of the sheet each conference title for a given room at a given time. I created other sheets, which i named as the main topic. for example: Hybrid if the sheets containes mentions of hybrid as a word in the session or title of the conference. I am now stuck, since I only searched my main interest and created new sheets only for the word I choose. I now have a incomplete subdivision, since I didn't copy each and every conference. I would like to create a new sheets named OTHERS in which I import any conference I don't have in the specific sheets I created. So for example if in Day 1, row7 column 15 never appear in each new sheets I created (hybrid, liquid, ...) I want that row imported in the sheets OTHERS. Is there a way to do this, even only by finding the single row# column# and then I can manually create the table for the new sheets OTHERS. Or I just need to filter manually or use an AI (which i don't like to do since I want to use excel if possible) submitted by /u/Candid-Note6320 [link] [comments]
- Any way to automate removal of older rows of data?I have a spreadsheet with 4 columns: first name, last name, score and date. I have people who are duplicated, some with the same date which I can easily remove with "remove duplicates" but I have examples where there are people with multiple rows from where they have taken a test a few years later, and i am trying to find a way to optimise my chopping up of this spreadsheet to only have a single row per user, and showing only their most recent score for the test. The date column is dd/mm/yyyy and then a 24 hour format time stamp and I can't think of a good way to optimise that as it covers multiple years. Theres no good consistency over the old date and the most recent date I imagine excel has some way of pruning older data. Atleast I hope so or ill have to check 50000+ rows manually to remove old results 😭 submitted by /u/Skellyhell2 [link] [comments]
- Formatting question for automating data entryIm going to try to articulate what I need and if it’s possible to do inside excel. At my job I have to record the amount of patrons using our facilities. and specify what particular services are being used. at the end of each quarter. (3 month period) I must tally up all the numbers and provide a total for each aspect of our facility as well as the total overall. For example. 1st quarter numbers. 100 patrons used theatre. 250 patrons used Game room 450 patrons used computer lab so on and so forth. Now that you have the gist in your head. Imagine a spreadsheet where the first form is just a data entry sheet. it’s essentially just a box that never changes. You input the numbers for the week, and that data gets automatically moved to a different cell that has the total amount. so that at the end of the quarter I can easily see my total without having to backtrack or tediously add. if anyone has some insight on how I can do this Please reach out. If you have any questions about my wording or understanding exactly what I mean please also reach out. If you read all this I appreciate your time. submitted by /u/Beneficial-Yard-9006 [link] [comments]
