I copied some numbers into Excel and they ended up in a single cell like this:
They’re separated by commas, but all the data is inside one cell. What I want is for Excel to automatically turn them into a table like this

I copied row by row from a pdf into an excel because the converting feature wasn't working well. Now, none of the data is being recognized as numbers except 0's (on left side of cell, can't be used in equations, there isn't an error on the cells but error when trying to use them as numbers). Here's what I've tried: Hitting enter on the cells Typing and copying 1 and then special paste > multiplying by one Removing space with text to columns Using the value command I'm not sure if maybe I just don't understand what the issue is, but I need to use the data for a coding assignment and right now my coding software doesn't want the csv because the cells are recognized by numbers. I have cells in one line that I need to convert into a table of sorts. In the example after every space follows a new cell. I also have the same data as just one text chain. - How to total numbers separated by commas in multiple cells.Hello. I am going a bit nuts and looking for help. I am creating a spreadsheet for my hospital. There is a column which lists the room numbers of patients being discharged in cells E19:E23 (simple 1-2 digit numbers which may repeat in different units) separated by commas. I am trying to total the number of discharges based off of this. The closest formula I have found follows, but it defaults to “1” instead of “0” if there are no discharges. I am a novice and basically just googling stuff so far and have tried so many formulas. I’ve figured out a dozen others in this sheet but this one still stumps me. Any help would be appreciated.
