Automate Your Multi-Tab Data Collection Into One Unified View

Struggling to consolidate data from multiple tabs into a single view?

The user who posted this question is describing a problem that anyone who has managed a team spreadsheet will recognize immediately. They need a workbook where multiple people fill in data across separate tabs, and a master tab automatically collects every new row. This is a straightforward request, and the fact that it requires a Reddit post to solve tells you everything about the state of traditional spreadsheet tools.

Our opinion is clear: this kind of multi-tab consolidation should not require a workaround. It should be the default behavior of any modern data tool. Instead, what most spreadsheet users get is a manual process, copying, pasting, using complex formulas like `INDIRECT` and `QUERY`, or writing scripts that break the moment someone renames a tab. The user here is asking for advice, but what they really need is a tool that understands the intent behind their request.

The practical implication for you is this: if you are building workbooks that require multiple contributors, you are likely spending more time managing the spreadsheet than analyzing the data. The user's scenario, same columns, different tabs, a unified view, is not an edge case. It is the standard structure for reporting, project tracking, inventory management, and dozens of other workflows. Yet legacy spreadsheets treat each tab as an isolated island, forcing you to build bridges with fragile formulas or manual effort.

An AI-native spreadsheet flips this. Instead of you writing complex logic to pull data together, the tool understands your structure and automates the aggregation. You define the columns once, assign tabs to contributors, and the unified view updates itself. No scripts, no broken references, no midnight debugging when a formula stops working. This is not about replacing the spreadsheet; it is about removing the friction that has always existed between the data and the insight.

For the user who posted this question, the answer is not a clever formula or a macro. The answer is a tool that treats data collection as a solved problem, so you can focus on what the data actually tells you. That is the shift we believe in. If you are still manually consolidating tabs, ask yourself whether the tool you are using is working for you, or if you are working for it.

I need to create a workbook in which (i) there will be multiple tabs (all with the same columns) that need to be populated by data, which will be done by different folks, (ii) there will be a separate tab (also with the same columns) that automatically pulls in any row that was populated in one of the other sheets.

Anyone have advice on how I could achieve that? Thank you!
