Convert Table Schedule to Personal Schedule
Our take
I'm trying to add a secondary display for a work schedule. Our primary schedule lists location on the leftmost column and time of day on the top row. The cells in-between have the name of the staff person assigned to that specific location during a particular hour. Yes, we move around a lot, staff prefer that. What I would like to do is have a secondary display option that lets someone select their name to popup a simple view that shows where they are each hour of the day. I had assumed the answer would be a pivot table, but I'm not really finding ways to treat column 1 as an x-axis. Excuse the lack of any semblance of formatting, this is just for proof of concept:

- Creating a work schedule visualiserHello! I'd like to take a list of dynamic work shift times, 10:00-14:00, 12:00-18:00, etc, and paste them into column A of a sheet which will visually 'map out' the whole day with conditional formatting. The sheet columns would run from the beginning of the day, say 08:00, hourly, until the end of the day. A shift time of 08:00-12:00 pasted into column A would therefore fill in the cells from column 08:00 to column 12:00. I'm certain this is possible but my research has turned up nothing but incorrect AI slop. Excel version 2602 submitted by /u/Chegolas [link] [comments]
- How do I create a table with days in the columns, locations in the rows, and program names and times in the cells?I need to create something like this image, without doing it manually (hopefully). I need the days of the week as headings on the x axis, locations on the y axis, and then program name and time of program in the cells. I've tried using a pivot table, but the values field won't show the text only calculations. There are over 5,300 events, but I need it summarized down to this to give to the marketing team. I would also like to be able to edit with additional notes if needed. Any ideas other than copy and pasting this manually into a grid? https://preview.redd.it/fk7n51pmcdyg1.png?width=768&format=png&auto=webp&s=c995a7b9f596e97036d1821acc4d61553c82fab2 submitted by /u/im_8675309 [link] [comments]
- Trying to create a weekly work schedule. Created a table with dropdown menu. How can I reference this table to a separate table that the value has already been chosen?Hello, I created a weekly table with a list of employee names. I also created a dropdown menu for each field of all the job types to select from. I am trying to reference this table into a different table with all the job types on 1 column so I know that it has been chosen on any given day. I was thinking it can populate with a '1' Bonus if the same job is chosen again, then it can populate a '2'. If this is not possible, then perhaps, using different colours? I will add a photo to give you an idea of what I'm trying to do. Thanks. submitted by /u/vivagayvegas [link] [comments]
