Trying to do “mail merge” using only excel.

I have a huge amount of data that needs to be mail merged, but the file is too big to be created in Word.
I’d like to pull a row of data from 1 sheet into a better formatted second sheet. The dream would be to then highlight 5 rows of newly formatted data (that came from 1 row on sheet 1) into sheet 2 and drag in down and have all the data reformatted in sheet 2. When I do this, it looks great but it’s pulling the wrong row from sheet 1 because I’m dragging 5 rows. So everything comes in out of order. Tough to explain, I’ve googled as much as I can and have found no answers. If there’s anyone who vaguely knows wha I’m trying to say who can help I’d really appreciate it!

- Connecting sheets where I add rows in sheet 1 but want data to stay connected and not change on sheet 2?My title sucks. But here’s my problem. On sheet 1 I have data. Most of is is in row A1, B1, C1…etc. But in sheet 2 I need to break that down into “tiers” so that it shows sheet 1 A1’s data on sheet 2 A1; sheet 1 B1’s data on sheet 2 B2, sheet 1 C1’s data on sheet 2 C3, etc. etc. Then let’s say a new group of numbers in sheet 1 starts at row A3 New group at A5, and so on. Now I know how to connect the cells =sheet1! A1, on sheet 2 etc. The problem is sometimes I need to add rows to sheet 1, but I DON’T want the data in sheet two to change. So like the data I have on sheet 1 A1, B1, C1 has been tiered to sheet 2 but a new set of data comes in and I have to change A1, B1, C1 but now A2, B2, C2 needs to live down on both sheets. - Any thoughts on getting data from MS word to excel and keeping it looking the same or similar?I’m currently trying to use sheet 1 as the master sheet to share data across 10 other sheets (each of the other 10 sheets are designed for specific people) it is a rostering style platform to inform others as to who they are working with or who the can go to. There’s a lot of shared data between the sheets and I’m trying to see if there’s a way to have a single sheet that I can input data into once and it share across all sheets in excel. I’ve seen similar things done and trying to learn how to do it myself but after a couple of months of trial and error (soo many errors) I thought I’d try to reach out and ask for help or see if this is even possible? - How to autofill data from a row to a column on a different sheet in the same folder?I've been struggling with some solutions I've found on the forum but after 1.5hrs I'm close to giving up and manually entering data - which is bound to cost me another 28 hrs. Hoping someone has the solution I'm looking for and is willing to share.. I've exported questionnaire results from Mentimeter to Excel. The document output is formatted automatically in a way that uses columns for unique respondents, followed by their answers in the same column but along individual cells on that column's row, meaning the first entry is A2 and the last entry is in cell CQ2 or something. I would like to make this more user-friendly by: 1) putting each respondent's answers in their own sheet in the folder, and 2) by listing the questions in the first column and the answers in the next columns pretty much 'the other way around'. Currently it looks like this; the answers I need are listed in !VotersF3 to !VotersCQ3. The next respondent's answers are in !VotersF4 through to !VotersCQ4 and so on. What I'm looking for would ideally display answers in !AnswerA3 through to A80. When I manually select !AnswerA3 and click on !VotersF3, logically it does what I want. When I then drag down to autofill, equally logically the sheet enters !VotersF4 instead of !VotersB3 as it's a row vs column problem. I've tried different version of INDEX and TRANSPOSE but I can't get a working formula from that. Would anyone be able to provide me with the correct solution for doing this? - How to link data from specific columns on one sheet to another, then sort it column A alphabetically and match the other columns based on corresponding data from Sheet 1I am a beginner at attempting to write formulas in Excel, and I am currently using Excel on a web browser mainly but can and do occasionally edit in the desktop version. I believe the version is Microsoft Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024 in the desktop version, or at least that's the product activated. I have two sheets on the same spreadsheet, and I want to pull in the data from 4 different columns to the second sheet and have it automatically update when there are changes or additions to the first sheet. I have a couple issues making this happen - the main one is that the data in my first sheet is custom sorted by color, but I want the new sheet to take the data from column B on sheet 1 and sort it alphabetically, and take the other columns and match them correspondingly to the correct values they match to from column B on the first sheet. Secondly, for blank cells, I want it to leave them blank instead of inputting zero, or any dates. I don't know if this is all even possible, or if I should just remove my custom filters from sheet 1 by cell color and just link it that way. I've spent hours trying to find formulas that work. Please see attached images for reference on what I've tried, and for more clarification as to exactly what I'm requesting. Sorry for the copious redacting, I wanted to be safe rather than sorry with identifiable info regarding this.
