XLookup to identify multiple values.
Our take
Hey Everyone,
Im in need of assistance please.
The spreadsheet consists of 3 sheets, the original list, the xlookup formula list and monthly payments..in that order.
The formula used: =XLOOKUP(B3, January Commission Listing'!$B$1:$B$342,'January Commission Listing'!$C$1:$C$342,"0.00")
As you can see above lookup formula I use. It works good, by pulling the data from monthly payments to xlookup list in their respective columns.
However, say for instance John Doe paid twice on two different days in the month. The monthly payments sent to our company would be separate on the sheet(monthly payments), showing $100.00 in one row and later down $50.00.
How can I expand this XLOOKUP formula to identify both values in the monthly sheet, and have them automatically sum up into the respective cell.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

- Need to return a value based on two different search criteria, multiple lines, VLOOKUPHi All, I have a report that I run at work that doesn't come out in a way that makes it easy to work with in an excel spread sheet. The best i can get it is a txt file that when pasted spreads values into different cells. I use VLOOKUP in other sheets to find one value and return another value in the same row. I don't know how to (or if it's even possible) to do this with multiple values on different rows. Could really use some help. I need some sort of VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP type of formula that does the following: -Searches Column A for a specific value -Then Searches Column B (Below where Column A value was found) for another value -Returns the value in Column C (Same Row as B) based on the value from B I'm pretty much stuck using Excel for this as my company doesn't allow outside/other programs to further organize the data. Macros may also be an option if anyone knows any. Thanks in advance with any answers. submitted by /u/QuandoOmniFluncas [link] [comments]
- Am I not using XLOOKUP correctly? And absolutes $shttps://imgur.com/a/o0alvvv I am basically trying to get column "E" (Billing End) on the "Upload sheet" to populate with the values found in column "C" on the "Data sheet"...ONLY IF the values in Data Sheet (B:B) and Upload Sheet (C:C) match AS WELL AS Data Sheet (D:D) and Upload Sheet (B:B) match. Sorry, I could have organized the columns more alphabetically but I figure you'd get the gist of it and I can play around with the figures. In Upload sheet E2 and pulling formula down, I would put... XLOOKUP(1, ('Data sheet'!D$2:D$7=B2)*('Data sheet'!B$2:B$7=C2), 'Data sheet'!C$2:C$7, "" ) submitted by /u/jwnsfw [link] [comments]
- Monthly tracking workbook I use to track employee sales metrics; Trying to find a way to make the process less labour intensiveTruly having a hard to describing my issue effectively but hoping someone can help. First time posting here and I'm by no means an expert with excel, so please be kind! I have a monthly workbook where I track each employees revenue and other metrics. Every 2 weeks for payroll, I provide a print out of these numbers, and the payroll sheet pulls data from multiple sheets in the workbook. For example, every workbook has a separate sheet for each day of the month, titled "1" through "31". I have pay period sheets, so I'll use one titled "04.02.26 - 04.15.26". Then I'll have the data for each employee pulled from multiple sheets. For example, I use the formula =SUM('2:15'!E3) to pull the sales data from each day of that period for the specific employee. This works quite well. However, when I create a new month's spreadsheet, I have to manually alter this formula for each employee and for each data point (more than just revenue, at least 6 different data points for 7 employees). Is there a way to automate this? For example, a cell or two where I'm able to enter the date range and all of the formulas update to that date range for the corresponding pages? I'm sorry of this post is confusing. Truly it's confusing even typing it! submitted by /u/Ok_Smile9222 [link] [comments]
- XLookup or SUMIF to return updated amounts? Is it possible to use XLookup to return the updated amount using multiple identifiers? Company number, product number and product name is the only combination that will create a unique identifier. I’ll be refreshing this large data set weekly in another worksheet and need a quick way to pull in and track updated amounts to show a variance summary. Or is there a better formula to use to achieve this? l https://preview.redd.it/jb4ve5hsvupg1.png?width=1215&format=png&auto=webp&s=96032a97e3415ec2707ac2c83e5e15d13147b733 submitted by /u/Winter_Hawk_7595 [link] [comments]
